Maze Runner ch. 5-7

During these chapters Thomas is learning about the ways of life at “the glade”. He learns that almost everyone at “the glade” sleeps outside at nite because its warm for some reason, and the homestead, which is intended for people to sleep in, is not very big or good for sleeping. He also gets a tour from Alby, the boy who thinks he knows Thomas. He shows Thomas the slaughterhouse, the box, the opening to the maze, the deadheads and almost everything he needs to know to survive in “the glade”. For some reason Thomas believes that he has seen all of this before, he feel like hes been to “the glade” before. At the end of Albys tour, Alby emphasizes one thing. NO ONE except for runners are aloud in the maze. If he is found in the maze if hes not a runner he will be killed. Thomas knows that runners have the most dangerous job, but he feels as though he needs to become a runner.
